Saipem and Garbo have joined hands to develop a new plastic recycling technology – Chempet which has the potential to convert polyethylene terephthalate plastic waste, commonly known as Pet, into high-quality Pet for the chemical and food industries.

Under an agreement signed between BTC Europe and India-based firm Sudarshan Chemical Industries, both the companies will work together for the distribution of organic and inorganic pigments as well as effect pigments in Europe.

With an aim to expand its downstream presence in China, Aramco has acquired a 10 % stake in Rongsheng Petrochemical Co. Under a long-term sales agreement, Aramco will supply 480,000 barrels per day of Arabian crude oil to Rongsheng affiliate Zhejiang Petroleum and Chemical Co. and Aramco Overseas Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aramco, will acquire the interest in Rongsheng.
