In over 10 years of development work with Schubert & Salzer as their partner, Dr. Rainer Klock and the team at At.Pro tec succeeded in getting the SIP technology to work on blast furnaces, too, with the help of sliding gate valves. This is a story of a researcher who is on his way to becoming a plant manufacturer.

The consortium including Neste, Uponor, Wastewise and Borealis have entered into a project to produce cross-linked polyethylene (Pex) pipes from chemically recycled Pex waste. With this project, the consortium is demonstrating that chemical recycling can process hard-to-recycle waste plastic into high-quality polymer products.

With an aim to expand its current capacity of vinyl acetate monomer, Lotte Ineos Chemical has plans to develop a new plant in Ulsan, South Korea. The company has also selected Lotte Engineering & Construction to carry out the Front-End Engineering Design work for the project.
