The European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic) has recently issued a statement on the publication of the European Commissions’ Net-Zero Industry Act. The Council is not satisfied with the Act and is calling for a comprehensive industrial policy.

Under a shareholders’ agreement signed between Ta’ziz and Proman, both the parties aim to establish UAE’s first world-scale methanol production facility at the Ta’ziz Industrial Chemicals Zone in Al Ruways Industrial City, Abu Dhabi. The project is expected to have an annual production capacity of up to 1.8 million tons.

Total Energies aims to double the SAF production at its Grandpuits site by bringing the site’s production capacity to 285,000 tons annually. It also intends to develop a biomethane production unit with annual capacity of 80 gigawatthours to produce low carbon energies at the site.
