OQ Chemicals has launched a new pilot plant for customized esters in Oberhausen, Germany. The new plant will help the firm to produce small quantities of esters for test purposes which can later on be produced on a large-scale.

Under the terms of the agreement, VNG along with Uniper will build a 30 MW electrolyzer to produce green hydrogen which will then be supplied to Total’s Leuna refinery in Germany. The move is expected to reduce the site's annual CO2 emissions by up to 80,000 tons by 2030.
