The new FS10i Flow Meter Series from Fluid Components International (FCI) is claimed to be the only SIL-2 (Safety integrity level) rated thermal flow meters in their class. The Flow Meter Series boasts of numerous advantages which helps in the accurate measurement of air, compressed air and natural gas across industrial and commercial plant operations. Thus, improving productivity and quality while reducing energy and other costs at the same time.

Orlen Unipetrol has revealed its development strategy until 2030 which includes the modernization of its chemical facility in Záluží near Litvínov, Czech Republic. In this project, the current boiler plant for the steam cracker’s operations is replaced with a brand-new gas boiler plant and the latest equipment for emission reduction installed at the unit has helped to lower dust emissions by 50 % and NOx emissions by 70 %.

Plug Power has plans to build a mega green hydrogen production facility in Fresno County, USA. On completion, the unit is expected to produce 30 metric tons of liquid green hydrogen per day. The move will help to decarbonize light-duty vehicles, freight-transportation, and logistics operations.

Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) has plans to develop its first HydroPRS (Hydrothermal Plastic Recycling Solution) project in Japan. The plastics recycling unit will be situated at MCC’s Ibaraki Plant and is expected to process 20,000 tons of plastic waste annually.

Lyondell Basell is considering to sell its Houston Refinery which is one of the largest refineries in the U.S. The facility has the capacity to transform 268,000 barrels per day of crude oil into high-value transportation fuels such as reformulated gasoline, ultra-low sulfur diesel and jet fuel.

Under the MOU, Mitsubishi will build a blue hydrogen plant near Edmonton in Canada while Shell will provide CO2 storage via the proposed Polaris CCS project for producing the low-carbon hydrogen which will then be exported to Japan to produce clean energy.

Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation has introduced Green KTF, a plant-based microporous film which releases 30% less CO2 emissions during production as compared to the conventional product. About 90% of the film is derived from natural products.

Eneos has plans to demonstrate hydrogen extraction from methylcyclohexane (MCH) at its refining facilities in Japan. The move is claimed to be the first MCH dehydrogenation demonstration project using existing refining facilities in the country.
