At this year’s Achema trade show which is claimed to be the world's leading trade show for the process industry, more than 2,200 exhibitors from over 50 countries along with 70,000 plus participants from 127 nations were present at the event which was held from August 22 – 26, 2022 in Frankfurt, Germany.

With a capacity of 60,000 metric tons of engineering plastics compounds annually, the plant is the first unit to be inaugurated at the new Verbund site Zhanjiang which is expected to be the firm’s third largest Verbund site globally.

Dow and Mura Technology have plans to build Europe’s largest advanced recycling plant for plastics at Dow's Böhlen site in Germany. The project is expected to deliver approximately 120 KTA of advanced recycling capacity. This is one of the many series of plants that are being planned to be built across the U.S. and Europe.

The industrial sector, one of the most carbon-intensive industries, is consciously making an effort to decarbonize itself and one of the methods which the sector is adopting is by switching to the production of clean green hydrogen as well as low carbon hydrogen i.e. blue hydrogen.

The biomass cogeneration facility is claimed to be the first large–scale power generation plant to operate solely with well-pressed or dried fermentation residues. Once operational, the plant will supply at least 70,000 megawatt hours of steam to Sasol annually as well as produce more than 90,000 megawatt hours of sustainable electricity every year.

Germany’s Aurubis, a leading global provider of non-ferrous metals will use the low-carbon ammonia as a feedstock in its wire rod plant in order to meet its decarbonization goals.
