Zaffra, the new joint venture will focus on developing and delivering Sustainable Aviation Fuel. With this move, Sasol and Topsoe will combine their expertise in order to decarbonize the aviation industry.

A leading South Korean industrial supplier of hydrogen, Approtium has selected Topsoe’s ammonia cracking technology, H2retake for converting low-carbon ammonia (blue ammonia) back into hydrogen at its facility in Ulsan, South Korea. The facility is expected to produce 75,000 metric tons of hydrogen every year.

Under a licensing and engineering agreement, Preem has chosen Topsoe’s Hydroflex technology to produce sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel at its lysekil refinery in Sweden. The technology will be used at the refinery’s Isocracker unit and have a capacity of 1.2 million cubic meters per year for the production of sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel.

Topsoe has received a massive funding of 94 million euros from EU’s Innovation Fund for developing a solid oxide electrolyzer cells factory in Denmark. The factory is expected to manufacture advanced, energy efficient solid oxide electrolyzer cells which are used in the production of green hydrogen.

Under a MOU signed between both the parties, Topsoe and Standard Gas will work together to produce renewable natural gas and methanol from residual waste feedstocks in the UK. Topsoe will provide technologies, engineering, equipment items and catalysts for the project.

Topsoe’s Snox technology has been chosen for Essar Oil UK’s carbon capture facility in Stanlow, North West England. The technology has the capacity to remove nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, dust and other contaminants from flue gas emitted in the production process.

Allied Green Ammonia has chosen Topsoe’s green ammonia technology for its ammonia plant in Gove, Australia. With a production capacity of 2,500 metric tons per day, the unit is expected to start producing green ammonia in 2028.
