Under a MOU signed between Moeve and Zaffra, both the companies will work together to advance European aviation fuel decarbonization by jointly assessing the feasibility of developing e-SAF facilities in Southern Spain.

Zhongneng Yida will implement Topsoe’s Hydroflex technology at a planned SAF facility in Hebei province. The plant is designed to produce 400,000 tons of sustainable aviation fuel annually from used cooking oil, with distribution aimed at both European and Chinese markets.

New Energy Risk (NER) has been chosen by Topsoe as its insurance partner for its SOEC (solid oxide electrolyzer cells) hydrogen electrolyzer products. With this, the company aims to de-risk the development of SOEC as well as the customers’ green hydrogen and Power-to-X projects.

Chuangui New Energy company will make use of Topsoe’s licensing and engineering design services and technologies, including its Hydroflex technology, proprietary equipment and catalysts to produce SAF as well as renewable diesel in China.

Topsoe has been selected to provide its e-methanol synthesis technology and engineering support for Forestal del Atlántico’s Triskelion project in Galicia, Spain. The project is expected to produce 40,000 tons of e-methanol annually, while capturing and using c. 56,000 tons of CO2.

Topsoe’s Hydroflex and H2bridge technologies have been chosen for sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel production at Riograndense’s Rio Grande renewable fuels plant in Brazil. With this move, the company aims to produce 16,000 barrels per day of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel.

The world’s first of its kind green ammonia plant has recently been inaugurated by Topsoe, Skovgaard Energy, and Vestas in Denmark. The plant is a demonstration project which will demonstrate how renewable power can be coupled directly to an ammonia plant to produce green ammonia in a cost-effective manner.
