Honeywell Technologies has announced the launch of an industrial AI platform – Forge Plant Cognition. The platform has been built with Nvidia AI and accelerated computing capabilities, and Dell Technologies’ AI infrastructure with an aim to help refining, petrochemical and LNG operators generate greater value from their existing assets and transform plant operations.

An affiliate of CF Industries Holdings has selected Thyssenkrupp Uhde for carrying out a Front-End Engineering Design study for a proposed new urea liquor upgrade plant at CF Industries’ Courtright facility in Ontario, Canada.

Envision Energy has been commissioned by Sasol to undertake a design study for a green hydrogen system at its Sasolburg operations. The move is expected to play an important role in evaluating pathways to produce lower-carbon fuels and chemicals.

Técnicas Reunidas has secured a contract to supply two hydrogen production reformers for Dangote Group’s new ammonia and urea fertilizer complex in Gode, Ethiopia. The reformers are expected to have a production capacity of over 200,000 cubic meters of hydrogen per hour.

KBR’s Purifier technology has been selected by Sabic Agri-Nutrients for its new grassroots ammonia plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. On completion, the facility is expected to produce 1.2 million metric tons of ammonia annually.

Biobtx has plans to develop the Petra project – the world’s first commercial-scale plant that is capable of converting plastic waste directly into renewable aromatics. The project is expected to produce approximately 10,000 tonnes of renewable aromatic oil per year along with 8,000 tonnes of sustainable byproducts.
