How Cyanobacteria Use Solar Energy to Produce Biofuel

The world is looking for methods to replace fossil fuels with a carbon-neutral product created from solar energy, carbon dioxide and water. Researchers at Uppsala University have now successfully produced microorganisms that can efficiently produce butanol using carbon dioxide and solar energy, without requiring to use solar cells.

Online Analyzer for Total Nitrogen Measurement

The new CA-6-14-A Analyzer from Electro Chemical Devices measures Total Nitrogen in the range of 0-30.0 mg/L using a UV Digestion and a Colorimetric based analysis. Total Nitrogen is the combination of organic and inorganic nitrogen (NH4, NO3, NO2) present in the sample. It is a common measurement in drinking water and in municipal wastewater effluent.
