Texas/USA – S&B Engineers and Constructors (S&B) has begun construction on Plug Power’s Peachtree hydrogen project located in Kingsland, Georgia. The plant will utilize Plug’s proprietary electrolysis technology to produce green hydrogen, which will then be liquefied, stored, and loaded for transport. When complete, the facility will be capable of producing 15 tons of liquefied hydrogen per day.

S&B is providing the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the Peachtree site and previously completed engineering work for Plug’s Pathfinder hydrogen test facility co-located on the site.

The Peachtree hydrogen project is expected to create more than 200 construction jobs. “The Peachtree project is an important step to meeting increasing demand for green hydrogen solutions,” said Sanjay Shrestha, Plug’s General Manager, Energy Solutions & Chief Strategy Officer.
