“We are on course to make Adnoc the most AI enabled energy company in the world,” shared His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Adnoc Managing Director and Group CEO, Chairman of Masdar and Executive Chairman of XRG at this year’s Ceraweek event, an annual conference for the energy industry which was held in Texas, USA. This bold statement made by the dignitary turned heads of global industry leaders from across the energy sector. The race to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the energy industry has begun and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has no plans to be left behind. In fact, Adnoc (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) which is a state-owned oil company and one of the world's largest energy companies by reserves and production has already integrated AI comprehensively across its operations right from exploration to refining to logistics and strategic decision making.
