Qingdao Jinneng to Use Lyondell Basell's Spheripol Technology at Petrochemcial Complex

Lyondell Basell announced that Qingdao Jinneng New Material has selected their polypropylene fifth generation Spheripol technology for a 450 KTA unit to be constructed in their petrochemical complex in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, China.

Rotterdam/The Netherlands — The Chinese company selected Spheripol for its capacity to produce a broad product slate, process efficiency and outstanding performance of environment friendly technology, said Mr. Qin Qingping, Founder and CEO of Jinneng Science & Technology Company., parent company of Qingdao Jinneng New Material. This polypropylene process technology has more than 24 million tons of licensed capacity.

In addition to the Spheripol process, the supplier's portfolio of licensed polyolefin processes and associated technical services includes a multi-zone circulating reactor, a low-pressure slurry process, a high pressure technology as well as an add-on technology for the production of specialty polypropylene products and a flexible gas phase process technology for the production of LLDPE, MDPE and HDPE.
