AODD Pumps Pumps for Paints and Coatings

Air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps are well suited for for the loading, unloading and transfer of resins, solvents and additives in Paint & Coatings manufacturing applications. Pumps specialist Wilden now launches the Advanced Series Metal AODD pumps, that can generate up to 20.7 bar of pressure (300 psi).

Wilden's H800 is constructed of stainless steel or ductile iron and creates a 3:1 pressure ratio with a maximum air inlet pressure of 5.9 bar (85 psi) and maximum discharge pressure of 17.2 bar (250 psi) while delivering flow rates up to 359 L/min (95 gpm). It can handle solids up to 12.7mm (1/2”) at operating temperatures to 225ºF (107ºC).

This is a core requirement for the reliable transfer of Paint & Coatings resins, solvents and additives that are viscous or solid-laden. The company offers three models of its Advanced pumps: The H200 with 25mm (1”) that uses both liquid chambers to pump fluid. It creates a 3:1 pressure ratio with a maximum discharge pressure of 20.7 bar (300 psi) while delivering flow rates up to 94 L/min (25 gpm). The H400S, simplex pump uses only one liquid chamber to pump fluid while the second is used as a pressure-amplification chamber, and the H800. All three models are available with Wil-Flex Diaphragms.
