Würzburg/Germany – The Liwa Plastics Industries Complex is a petrochemical project by the Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (Orpic), which is divided into four major schemes - a polymers plant in Sohar industrial area, a natural gas liquids extraction plant in Fahud, a steam cracker plant and a 300-km-long pipeline from Fahud to Sohar. The complex is scheduled to produce polyethylene, polypropylene and butene. The EPC contractors shall be awarded in the fourth quarter of 2015. The capacity of the 4.85 Billion Euro project should reach 1.000.000 t/a.
