Germany – The methods are applicable to a broad range of single-use systems and applications, and can also be used for the engineering characterisation of reusable systems. This 2nd Edition of recommendations is completely revised and the described methods are improved.

The authors of the publication and the calculation tool are members of the Working Group Upstream Processing of the Dechema expert group ‘Single-use technology in biopharmaceutical manufacturing’.
