Japan: Polypropylenen for Automative Use Mitsui Chemicals Increases Production of Polypropylene

Mitsui Chemicals and Prime Polymer announced the increase of their production of polypropylene at three of its global PP compound hubs in the United States, Mexico, and India.

Tokyo/Japan – The Group currently has eight global production sites (Japan, USA, Mexico, Europe, Thailand, China, India, and Brazil) and R&D facilities in five areas (Japan, USA, Europe, Thailand, and China) for automotive use polypropylene (PP) and has continued to enhance its production system for premium-quality products.

In the fiscal year of 2017, the group intends strengthen its production capacity by 5 % in North America, Europe, and Asia by increasing production capacity to 1,05 million metric tons.
