Killeen/USA — A groundbreaking ceremony on a new manufacturing facility in Killeen, Texas was recently held by Tokyo-based Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company (MGC) for MGC Pure Chemicals America (MPCA), a consolidated subsidiary producing and distributing super-pure hydrogen peroxide.

The new facility is expected to be built on a 13-acre site and be operational by 2019. MGC Group has already established three production sites in Japan and four others across the world. According to MGC Group, super-pure hydrogen peroxide is used primarily as a cleaning, etching and abrading agent in semiconductor wafer and device manufacturing processes. The market for semiconductor operations is also projected to increase with an expected growth in the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence.

MGC Group has also announced another new manufacturing facility in Oregon and will begin production in 2019.
