Saudi Arabia: Offshore Construction Mc Dermott Wins EPCI Contract for Saudi Aramco’s Marjan Field

Under the contract, Mc Dermott will be responsible for upgrading two of the existing platforms related to the installation of associated equipment for electrical submersible pumps along with space for a future high integrity pressure protection system.
The project is scheduled to be fully executed from Mc Dermott's Al Khobar office and Dammam fabrication facility, in line with its strategic focus to strengthen In-Kingdom content.

Texas/USA - Mc Dermott International has recently announced that it has been awarded a large contract by Saudi Aramco for engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) services in the Marjan field, offshore Saudi Arabia.
The contract includes the full suite of EPCI services for the upgrade of two existing platforms related to the installation of associated equipment for electrical submersible pumps (ESPs) and space for a future high integrity pressure protection system, subsea composite cable lay and topside cable tie-ins.
The project is scheduled to be fully executed from Mc Dermott's Al Khobar office and Dammam fabrication facility, in line with its strategic focus to strengthen In-Kingdom content.
Work on the project will begin immediately and the contract award will be reflected in Mc Dermott's first quarter 2019 backlog.
