Maire Tecnimont’s subsidiaries Tecnimont and KT - Kinetics Technology have entered into two EPC contracts with Socar’s subsidiary Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery for the development of new generation refining units at its refinery in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The new launch ‘My Rechemical’ is Next Chem’s new subsidiary focusing on chemical valorisation of non-recyclable plastics and ‘Waste to Chemical’ processes. Maire Tecnimont Group’s Nextchem and Indian Oil have recently entered into a MOU under which the oil major will utilise Nextchem technologies for the development of industrial projects in order to boost the circular economy in India.
The contract has been signed between Maire Tecnimont’s subsidiary Tecnimont and Gemlik Gübre for the construction of a new urea and urea ammonium nitrate solution (UAN) facility in Turkey. The new plant is expected to have a capacity of 1,640 MTPD of granular urea and 500 MTPD of UAN.
Eurochem has opened a new ammonia production plant in Kingisepp, Russia. The plant has the largest single-train production capacity in Europe, at 1 million tonnes per year.
A subsidiary of Maire Tecnimont, in consortium with Performance Contractors, has been awarded a reimbursable contract by Exxon Mobil for the initial activities related to the front end engineering design, early execution studies and early procurement activities for new process units and the associated offsites and utilities for a Petrochemical complex in the US.
HPCL-Mittal Energy has assigned the contract to the Italy-based firm for setting up a new High-Density Polyethylene unit along with a new Polypropylene unit in Punjab, India. Upon completion, the HDPE project is expected to have a capacity of 450,000 tonnes per year and the PP unit is expected to have a capacity of 500,000 tonnes per year.
Maire Tecnimont announced that its subsidiary KT — Kinetics Technology has been awarded two EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contracts by Lukoil Nizhegorod Nefteorg Syntez. The contracts are related to five refinery process units as part of the oil residue upgrading project for the Kstovo Refinery, in Central Russia.
