China: Plant Engineering KBR Wins Phenol and Acetone Technology Contract
Haiwan Chemical Co. has awarded KBR with a technology contract in order to construct a new 320,000 tonnes per annum phenol and acetone plant in China. Under the contract, KBR will provide technology license and basic engineering design as well as technical and training services to Haiwan Chemical.
Texas/USA – KBR has recently announced that it has been awarded a contract by Qingdao Haiwan Chemical Co. (Haiwan Chemical). The contract involves licensing KBR's leading phenol and acetone technology for a new phenol and acetone plant in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, China.
Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide the technology license and basic engineering design (LBED) as well as technical and training services to Haiwan Chemical. The company will use the services to build a grassroots 320,000 tonnes per annum phenol/acetone plant in Dongjiakou Industrial Zone, Qingdao, Shandong Province in China.
