India: Ammonia Production KBR to Revamp Ammonia Plant of Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers
KBR has been awarded a contract by Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers for revamping its ammonia plant at Panambur, Mangalore in India.
Houston/USA — Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide its ammonia technology to enhance the energy efficiency of the plant. The contract value was not disclosed.
The company has been involved in the licensing, design, engineering and/or construction of more than 230 ammonia plants worldwide.
Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers (MCF) is a subsidiary of Zuari Fertilisers and Chemicals, an Adventz group company. MCF is the largest manufacturer of chemical fertilizers in the state of Karnataka. The main products are Urea, Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP), Ammonium Bi-Carbonate (ABC), Sulphuric Acid, Speciality fertilizers and Nutrient products consisting of Water Soluble Fertilizers, Micronutrients & Soil Conditioners and Sulphonated Naphthalene Formaldehyde (SNF).
