Pumps KBL Inaugurates New Plant at Coimbatore
Kirloskar Brothers (KBL) has inaugurated its new manufacturing facility at Karumathampatti near Coimbatore in Tamilnadu/India.
Pune/India – The new facility will exclusively manufacture small domestic range of pumps. This facility is spread over six acres of land, and has an installed capacity of 5,00,000 units. The new plant will produce different models of domestic pumps. To start with, it will operate on single shift and produce 2,50,000 pumps per annum. This plant is expected to fetch a turnover of Rs. 150 crore in the next three years.
This facility will further strengthen KBL’s distribution network in the fast growing market for the domestic pumps in the southern parts of India. Formerly, KBL’s existing plant at Dewas was catering to pan India
demands for domestic pumps. The plant was inaugurated at the hands of Sanjay Kirloskar, Chairman and Managing Director of KBL, in presence of eminent distinguished
guests and members of the Kirloskar family.
According to KBL CMD, “The new plant at Coimbatore is all set to take KBL’s success story further. With this new investment, we are eyeing at becoming a leading player in the market for small domestic pumps as well. Presently, we have a much smaller share of this market as our focus had been more on the industrial range of pumps so far.”
