Piston vacuum pump

The Italvacuum Saurus939 vacuum pump combines a deceptively simple piston design with innovative technology such as the new LubriZero lubrication system, which almost eliminates oil loss. This in turn allows the economical use of FDA-approved synthetic oils, and so makes the Saurus939 very suitable for mainstream chemical and pharmaceutical processes.

The Atex-approved Saurus939 is available in six models, three of which use a Roots blower as a backing pump. Flowrates cover the range 80–3,800 Nm³/h, with vacuum of 7 mbar down to 0.03 mbar. The air-cooled pumps are made from various combinations of acid-resistant cast iron, bronze, stainless steel and special steels, so they withstand even the most aggressive solvents. Low operating speeds (250 rpm) and low working temperatures are other features.
