The combination of a compact gateway and wireless instruments such as the Rosemount vibrating fork switch is enabling pump health monitoring to be performed in the most remote locations where a large scale wireless network is not required.

Summary: Pumps are a critical component in many process industries and their failure can result in unscheduled downtime and safety and environmental issues. The traditional approach to checking pump installations is by operator rounds and the manual reading and recording of instrument data.

Take Monitoring to Even Furthest Locations

Modern instrumentation makes it easy to provide an accurate, reliable and continuous measurement of pump installations. Wireless technology makes it easy to extend the monitoring to difficult or remote locations and enables additional wireless devices such as pressure, temperature and vibration transmitters to be easily added to the network. The availability of compact gateways provides a convenient way to establish smaller local networks extending the benefits of wireless installations to an even wider range of applications.
