China: High Performance Plastics Grace Starts Up Two Production Lines for Polypropylene Producer

Oriental Energy has licensed Grace’s Unipol PP process technology for its Maoming plant in China and Grace has also started up two 400 kiloton per annum (KTA) Unipol PP process technology lines in Ningbo, China for Oriental Energy to produce homopolymer, random and impact copolymers.

Maryland/USA – W. R. Grace & Co. has licensed its Unipol PP process technology to Oriental Energy for its Maoming, China plant. The company has also announced the successful start-up of two 400 KTA Unipol PP process technology lines for Oriental Energy in Ningbo, China. This brings the total Unipol PP operating capacity in China to more than 6.3 million tons per annum in the last twelve years making homopolymer, random and impact copolymers to serve the growing market for high performance plastics in China.
