India: Fatal Tragedy Gas Leak at Indian Pharma Unit Leaves 2 Dead and 4 Others Hospitalised

The life threatening Benzimidazole gas leaked from Sainor Life Sciences, a pharma unit located in Andhra Pradesh, India which left two people dead. This is the third gas leak accident reported in the state in the past six months.

India – A toxic gas leakage occurred at a pharmaceutical unit in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh in the midnight of June 29 which left two people dead and hospitalised another four. According to news reports, the pharmaceutical unit – Sainor Life Sciences – in the industrial port city's Parwada area was shut down immediately as a precautionary measure after the leakage of benzimidazole gas was reported at around 11:30 pm. The situation is under control now and a case has been registered against the company’s management by the police.
