Production-scale Multispray Cabinet Dryers can be equipped with the new CIP Multispray Fast Washing System, which ensures complete cleaning of the dryer cabinet and shelves in just a few minutes. The system avoids any contact between operator and product residues or solvents, and eliminates the risk of contamination between the clean room and the machine room. Automated operation ensures repeatable cleaning performance from one batch to the next.

The patented CIP Multispray Fast Washing System consists of a mobile pneumatic washing unit feeding a diffuser placed inside the dryer. For maximum cleaning performance with minimum solvent use, the diffuser head — the most critical part of the unit — is manufactured by Italvacuum.

Rotary Vacuum Dryers of Polymer Bulks

Italvacuum’s rotary cylinder vacuum dryers are designed for drying, mixing and condensing in the manufacture of granulated plastic materials, such as chips, beads, slices, pellets, and scraps.

The manufacturing specifications make these dryers especially suitable for processes where it is necessary to operate at high vacuum levels in combination with high temperatures. Typical applications are:

• regrading of PET and PBT compounds;

• solid-state post-condensation of polyamide 6 and 6.6, PES, PET, PBT, and PTT; and

• drying of plastic granules.

The skewed cylindrical form and constant rotational speed ensure efficient mixing. The result is a uniform blend in terms of both particle uniformity and residual humidity, with better performance in each case than that typically achieved by continuous dryers. Gentle mixing without mechanical shock means that dust creation is minimal — an important consideration when drying products of this kind.
