Japan: Accident Fire at Shin-Etsu Handotai’s Shirakawa Facility in Japan
Shin-Etsu Chemical has announced that a fire occurred on November 12 at the Shirakawa plant. Two people have been injured by the accident however the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Japan – At 9:07 a.m. on November 12, 2019, a fire accident occurred at the location of an auxiliary equipment at the Shirakawa plant of Shin-Etsu Handotai Co., Shin-Etsu Chemical’s 100 % -owned subsidiary company, located in Japan’s Fukushima Prefecture.
The company has stated that it deeply apologizes to all the people concerned for causing worries due to this fire accident.

Two members of the staff have been injured as a result of this accident.
