Elgin/USA — The completion of the acquisition of the joint venture partnership with AGI on August 9, 2017 allowed the business to expand its manufacturing footprint to the Taiwan facility. AGI has many years of experience in the production of UV curable materials and the business team has been working closely with customers to qualify coatings that are produced at this facility.

The expansion is intended to meet the growing demand in the telecommunications industry. Aukje Doornbos, President of DSM Functional Materials said: “The team in Taiwan is very experienced producing UV curable materials and this investment allows us to have more capacity available to meet our product demands and to provide local supply to our customers.”
