The Most Important Standards for Chemical Pumps

SO 2858 (End-suction centrifugal pumps (rating 16 bar) — designation, nominal duty point and dimensions) defines the outline dimensions, the rating of capacity and head at the best efficiency point of a particular size as well as the pressure limit.

ISO 5199 (Technical specifications for centrifugal pumps – Class II) is prescriptive regarding a wide range of functional or dimensional aspects on a detailed level.

ISO 3069 (End-suction centrifugal pumps – dimensions of cavities for mechanical seals and for soft packing) is related to the shaft seal defining the dimensions of the seal chamber.

Other impacts

With the new Mega CPK, the noise level is reduced in comparison with the predecessor pump series CPK/CPKN. As noise is generally generated by an interaction between the impeller and the pump casing, the size of the discharge has less impact on the noise level.
