Dietary Supplements Danone Acquires Nutritional Business From Indian Wockhardt
Foods giant Danone acquires the nutritional business of Indian pharmaceutical company Wockhardt. Wockhardt markets several dietary supplements in India, but plans to focus on its pharma core business in the future.

Mumbai/India – Indian pharma and biotech company Wockhardt will divest its Nutritional business to Danone. These transactions were subject to customary closing conditions and various approvals. An according contract between Wockhardt and the French based multinational was signed earlier this month. Wockhard supplies India's nutritional market with dietary supplements like Farex, Dexolac, Nusobee and Protinerx. According to officials, the Indian company sees this contract as strategic move to focus on its core business of human pharmaceuticals.
