Z-Conveyor Complete Emptying of Light Powders

The complete emptying of transport systems is one of the main conditions for efficient and contamination-free processing of powders, grains and granular materials. In particular with the transport of light, fine powders the complete emptying of transport systems is easier said than done.

For this reason Poeth developed its new Z-Conveyor which minimises the amount of light powders left behind in transport systems and optimises production capacity. The new transport system consists of plastic flights that move forward on a chain within an enclosed trough and at the unloading point “fall” gently out of the transport system. The flights are hermetically sealed with the transport shaft and base and this minimises the amount of product remaining behind or falling back. The system has a loading capacity of 5 m³ to 220 m³ per hour. An additional advantage of Z-Conveyor is the low energy consumption. The new Z-Conveyor is also explosion safe, eliminating the need for costly investment in Atex safety systems.
