Chevron Phillips Chemical has completed its ethylene expansion project in Old Ocean, Texas. The company's Sweeny complex now has and additional tenth furnace to ethylene unit, adding another 200 million pounds production capacity.
Chevron Phillips Chemical sells its Ryton PPS business to Solvay: The Belgians take over the production assets for US $ 220 million. Ryton, a polyphenylene sulfide polymer was developed by Chevron in the 1970ies.
