Pepperl+Fuchs’ box thin clients are now Igel Ready-certified. The company offers the hardware with pre-installed Igel OS and the platform-independent operating system for thin clients enables simple, intelligent and secure access to virtual applications, desktops and cloud workspaces.

Now that Pepperl+Fuchs has joined the Igel Ready program as a technology partner, the box thin clients from Pepperl+Fuchs are now Igel Ready-certified. The industrial box thin clients BTC22 and BTC24 are the only ruggedized thin clients available as Igel Ready-certified products. This means that the devices have been tested and qualified by Igel and full support is provided by Igel, states the company.

So that users of Linux-based systems can also benefit from the advantages of the Box thin clients and Visunet series, the firm offers the hardware with pre-installed Igel OS (the license for the operating system can be purchased directly from Igel). The platform-independent operating system for thin clients enables simple, intelligent and secure access to virtual applications, desktops and cloud workspaces, adds the firm.

Besides the industrial box thin clients Pepperl+Fuchs offers users a variety of HMI systems and solutions for a wide range of requirements in the process industry with the Visunet families. The portfolio of industrial human machine interfaces includes rugged industrial monitors as well as matching peripherals. With customized HMI solutions, the company also implemented customers’ requirements exactly so that they get the perfect solution for their application.

The two product families Visunet FLX and Visunet GXP are offered as Igel Ready, which means the Igel OS is already implemented. Software support is provided by Igel, while Pepperl+Fuchs is the contact for hardware support, concludes the company.
