Bostik announced that it completed the acquisition of the industrial adhesives business of Nitta Gelatin Inc. by the Bostik-Nitta joint-venture in Japan.
Colombes/France — This acquisition, which will be complemented by the construction of a new adhesives plant in Japan, is intended to help the company to step up its development particularly in the fast-growing nonwoven markets for hygiene applications and in the packaging, labelling, transportation and electronics industrial markets.
Bostik is a subsidiary of Arkema, which is actively pursuing its strategy to develop its adhesives. According to a statement published by the company, adhesives represent one of the major drivers of its long-term growth. The adhesives and sealants are used in industry, construction and consumer sectors, including nonwovens for hygiene and personal care products such as adhesives in babies diapers, feminine care products, etc.
