Turning to the employment figures for the Top Ten chemical companies, the two German chemical producers BASF and Bayer are roughly on eye level with a workforce of around 112,000 each. Next come the US company DuPont and Shin-Etsu Chemical of Japan, each with around 70,000 employees.
