Axens’ Paramax Technology Suite has been finalised by China’s Cnooc Huizhou Petrochemical Company for expanding its petrochemical complex. On completion of the project, the new complex is expected to produce 1,500,000 tonnes per year of para-xylene in a single train.
Located in Ruwais-Abu Dhabi, the new Borouge 4 complex is expected to include the world’s largest mixed-feed cracker. Under the agreement, Axens will supply process books, catalysts & adsorbents, proprietary equipment, trainings and technical services for the project.
OMV Petrom’s Petrobrazi refinery has utilised Axens’ polyfuel technology in the new unit to upgrade LPG and light cracked naphtha into high quality fuels. The new facility is fully functional since April of this year.
Axens will offer a range of technologies for HPCL’s integrated refinery and petrochemical complex. The scope of work includes the supply of process books, catalysts & adsorbents, proprietary equipment, trainings and technical services.
