Technology Axens, Exxon Mobil Sign Agreement for Sublicense of Sulfuric Acid Alkylation Technology
Under the contract, Axens and Exxon Mobil will market and deliver all technologies associated within a refinery alkylation block. Together, the companies will also offer technologies to produce high octane gasoline.
Texas/USA – Exxon Mobil Catalysts and Licensing (Exxon Mobil) and Axens have recently signed an alliance agreement for the sublicense of Exxon Mobil’s Sulfuric Acid Alkylation technology. Under the agreement, Axens and Exxon Mobil will market and deliver all technologies associated within a refinery alkylation block, which includes Axens feed preparation, or Alkyfining, n-Butane Isomerisation and Exxon Mobil’s Sulfuric Acid Alkylation. The technologies will be offered under a single license and engineering agreement to be provided by Axens.
Based upon the success of the current Parama X alliance to maximise paraxylene production, the new alliance leverages collective expertise to meet customer needs by providing a streamlined solution to produce high octane gasoline.
