This incremental investment would increase the Houston (Texas) plant’s manufacturing capacity by up to 30 percent. Arkema is one of the world’s leading producer of mercaptans and other sulfur derivatives, and this investment is expected to further strengthen its position. Through this expansion, the company intends to serve its customers in a more efficient manner. The total new capacity is expected to come online in the first half of 2020.
