Speciality chemicals company Arkema has announced its planned acquisition of Arc Building Products, a prominent Irish manufacturer specializing in construction adhesives and sealants. This strategic move aims to bolster Arkema's position in the burgeoning construction adhesives market in Ireland, offering a wider range of solutions and establishing a local manufacturing footprint.

Arc Building Products, with its expertise in tile adhesives, floor preparation systems, building chemicals, and sealing & bonding solutions, has successfully established itself in the Irish market. The company is renowned for providing top-tier system solutions, placing a strong emphasis on customer service. It currently records approximately 15 million Euros in annual sales and operates a production facility located in Arklow, Ireland.

The integration of Arc's product range into Bostik's portfolio will expand the range of high-value solutions available in the growing Irish construction market, responding to the increasing demand for sustainable housing and renovation solutions. Bostik also plans to make significant investments in the Arklow site to enhance local production capabilities.

The acquisition project is expected to conclude in the first quarter of 2024.
