Developed in response to customer demand, the new Condensyn Maxi from Asynt is ideal for larger scale synthetic chemical reactions and is the latest addition to the firm’s popular laboratory air condenser range, states the company.

The waterless condenser enables scientists to scale up their experiments effectively from small benchtop synthesis to large volume jacketed reactor vessels.

Made using a unique design and manufacturing method, the waterless condenser has a large surface area specifically fabricated for effective condensing of solvent volumes above 1 litre. With options to suit both reflux and distillation applications, the solution is a high-performance alternative to traditional water-cooled condensers, mentions the firm. Available in two lengths, the waterless condenser is suitable for use under vacuum as well as standard laboratory and inert atmospheres.

Offering clear visibility of ongoing experiments, the waterless condenser is easy to clean and maintain. It is robust and washable like standard laboratory glassware in a dishwasher or solvent-cleaning bath and has a useful no-roll feature which makes storage easy, adds the company.

Without the need for constant running tap water for cooling, the Condensyn Maxi also enables laboratories to substantially reduce their environmental impact and their running costs. It also negates any potential flooding, or loss of solvent, concludes the firm.
