Wacker Expands Sales Office in India

Wacker opens a new, jointly operated, sales office in Chennai India together with Indian Metroark.

Munich/Germany, Chennai/India – Munich based Wacker expands its local sales office office in Chennai, India. Operated by a joint venture of Wacker and Metroark, this enlarged facility is expected to strengthen the company's position on the Indian market, Wacker says.

“The region around Chennai is renowned for its dynamic and fast growing industries”, explained O’Neil Remedios, Vice President Sales & Marketing at Wacker Metroark Chemicals, during the opening ceremony on August 18th. He explained that the local office aims to serve the expanding markets in the region with chemical raw materials and silicone products. Wacker expects great demands for these products in the Indian automotive, electronics, textile, leather and personal care industry.

“Our primary goal is to offer our Indian customers and partners products and solutions perfectly matched to their requirements and thereby help them to enhance their own business success. The expansion of our sales office allows us to provide better local support than ever”, stated Soumitra Mukherjee, Managing Director of WMC, at the opening ceremony.
