This video is about the new nEXT730/ nEXT930 turbomolecular pumps from Edwards, it highlights the mechanical robustness of these pumps. Frank Rathmann (Manager Global Applications Management, Scientific Vacuum Division) will talk about the special requirements these pumps have to face especially in coating applications, like mechanical impacts, fast pump-down cycles, harsh environmental conditions, dust and fast venting cycles. Frank will show how these machines have been tested during development phase in order to ensure that they are suitable for these applications.
