The demand of high-purity BTX aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene, xylene) to synthesize petrochemical products is increasing constantly. To separate the BTX aromatics at the reformate splitter, the Pörner Group and its subsidiary EDL Leipzig have developed an innovative divided wall column solution. Its economic efficiency has been clearly demonstrated by a study for a renowned refinery in Germany.
Together with its partner the following scope of services for planning and erection of BTX Aromatics Extraction plants are offered:

Process simulation for individual columns of the BTX process as well as the entire BTX extraction unit

Analysis of current operation and determination of bottlenecks
