Explosion-proof actuators
Electric multi-turn and part-turn actuators for use in potentially explosive atmospheres for automating industrial valves
Ex classification according ATEX
Ex de IIC/IIB T4 or T3
Ex d IIC/IIB T4 or T3
Torque ranges:
Multi-turn actuators SAEx: 10 Nm - 16 000 Nm
Part-turn actuators SGEx: 50 Nm - 1 200 Nm
- Suitable for modulating duty in SAR version
- Enclosure protection IP 67 or IP 68.
- Ambient temperatures from
- Corrosion protection up to C5 according to EN ISO 12944-2
AUMA actuators fulfil the highest requirements e.g. those of the oil and gas industry. They are qualified worldwide for installation in potentially explosive zones.
Three major characteristics turn the explosion-proof AUMA devices in unique units
- The possibility to separately install controls and actuator at a distance of up to 100 m
- Plug-in electrical connection speeding up maintenance tasks and reducing down
- Non-Intrusive - the possibility to perform commissioning and subsequent settings without tools and without opening the device housing. This maintains explosion protection.
Actuators are equipped with interfaces to the various DC systems as well as to the conventional fieldbus systems such as Profibus DP-V1, Modbus RTU, Foundation Fieldbus or DeviceNet.
