The MPATAN submerged pump is used as a specialist for dealing with hazardous and toxic media. Thanks to the dry running magnetic drive together with further features, this pump is suitable for boiling liquids, solid or gas-laden, fluctuating quantities as well as for tanker and residual discharge. When it comes to the MPATAN, the high safety standard is guaranteed by the construction method alone. It is ATEX-compliant and can be used in Zone 0. Therefore, this pump is often used in refinery waste tanks or in places where petrols or solid-laden hydrocarbon compounds are pumped at boiling point and high temperatures. On the one hand, the safety concept is based upon the complete hydrodynamic sealing by means of impeller back vanes. On the other hand, gas barriers (sealing gas) protect the bearing unit against penetration of product vapours. Bearings and the sealing unit run without product contact. The dry running magnetic drive has no contact with the pumping liquid or its gasses. The pump is hermetically sealed and can be used with media as hot as 280°C and at depths of up to 5.5 metres without hesitation.
