EPC Engineering & Technologies at CSPC Signing Ceremony in Shanghai

EPC Engineering & Technologies was honoured to participate in the official signing ceremony of CNOOC Shell Petrochemical Company (CSPC) during the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on 6th of November. The event marked a significant milestone in the realization of CSPC’s world-scale 260 KTA Polycarbonate Project, to which EPC is contributing core technology and key equipment.

The contract signed between EPC and CSPC encompasses the delivery of state-of-the-art Polycarbonate Reactor Systems, proprietary polycarbonate process technology, and comprehensive technical services throughout project execution and start-up. The agreement demonstrates CSPC’s confidence in EPC’s longstanding expertise in high-performance polymer production technologies.

“EPC is proud and honoured to sign this equipment supply contract with CSPC,” the company stated during the ceremony. “With this contract and our ongoing cooperation, EPC will provide world-class polycarbonate technology, highly engineered reactor systems, and technical services to support CSPC’s successful entry into new product segments. This project will enable the production of premium polycarbonate grades that meet the demands of both the domestic Chinese market and international export destinations.”

The 260 KTA complex represents a major strategic expansion for CSPC, strengthening its position in the global engineering plastics market. Polycarbonate is a key material in sectors such as automotive, electronics, construction, packaging, and renewable energy.

EPC Engineering & Technologies has been active in the development, engineering, and realisation of polymer and chemical production plants since over 30-years. The collaboration with CSPC underlines EPC’s role as global market leader in technology licensing for non-phosghene polycarbonat production technology and reinforces the company’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
