What is the distillation process? In simple terms, the distillation process can be defined as a process in which a liquid is vaporized via heating and then cooled back to its liquid form, this liquid is called a distillate and it is a purified version of the earlier liquid. The distillation process is usually carried out to separate two or more liquids and is used across numerous industries such as chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, food and water treatment.
