Achema, the leading trade fair for the process industry, is once again set to take place in challenging times for the global economy. After the last trade fair in August 2022 was held in a slimmed-down version due to the global pandemic, the organizers now want to return to the usual three-year rhythm and the traditional size of the event. While around 70,000 visitors and 2,200 exhibitors took part in 2022, around 2,700 exhibitors from more than 50 countries are expected this year. These figures show that large trade fairs continue to attract exhibitors and are impressive proof that face-to-face dialogue cannot be entirely replaced by virtual meetings. Especially in times when the process industry is facing major challenges, it is important not to miss out on new technologies and processes.

This is why numerous exhibitors and visitors from all over the world are once again expected at this year’s Achema. More than half of the exhibiting companies do not come from Germany. The largest number of exhibitors are from China with 445 companies, followed by India with 185 and the USA with 103. In comparison: In 2022, 74 exhibitors from China took part in Achema — despite enormous travel difficulties as a result of the pandemic.
